Student & Youth Opportunities
Build skills, earn volunteer hours, and help protect what we save.
Learn by Doing
The ReUse People of Canada (TRP Canada) offers hands-on learning for students and youth who want real-world experience in
deconstruction, reclaimed-wood processing, and circular-economy construction.
Volunteers gain practical skills while supporting our mission to keep reusable materials out of landfills.
Opportunities Include
- 🪚 De-nailing and preparing reclaimed lumber
- 🏗 Shed-building and small-structure construction
- 🔧 Material sorting, inventory, and yard organization
- 🌱 Learning safe tool use and sustainable-building principles
Training & Safety
All youth volunteers receive a safety orientation and mentoring from experienced staff and tradespeople.
WorkSafe BC guidelines are followed at all times to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
School Credit & Work Experience
TRP Canada partners with local school districts and work-experience programs.
Students can earn volunteer or course-credit hours while contributing to real sustainability projects.
