Corporate Volunteer Days

HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

To ensure a safe environment for all participants, volunteers must follow standard site safety practices while working with The ReUse People of Canada (TRP Canada).
All volunteers are required to:

Wear steel-toed boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes at all times.

Use safety goggles or glasses when working around tools, dust, or active construction/deconstruction areas.

Wear high-visibility safety vests in the yard or any active loading/unloading zones.

Use work gloves when handling lumber, fixtures, or other materials.

Follow all instructions provided by TRP staff or site supervisors.

TRP Canada will provide basic safety orientation and can supply limited protective equipment when available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gear for comfort and fit.

PARTICIPATION AND CONDUCT

Volunteers must sign in and out at the start and end of each shift.

No volunteer may operate power tools or equipment without proper training or supervision.

Unsafe behaviour, harassment, or disregard for direction from staff may result in removal from the site.

Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian’s consent before participating.

LIABILITY WAIVER

By submitting this form, you acknowledge that participation in volunteer activities may involve physical labour and outdoor conditions.
You agree to:

Assume all personal risk associated with volunteer work.

Release and hold harmless The ReUse People of Canada, its employees, directors, and partners from any claims or liability for injury or property loss incurred while volunteering.

Comply with all safety rules and TRP Canada policies while on site.
